India, Central and East Asia are important and traditional markets for RETIA, a leading Czech manufacturer of radar systems and special electronics. That is why the company regularly presents its production portfolio there. Last year it was the 12th Aero India, this year representatives of the Pardubice company will present its products at the 11th DEFEXPO, from 5th to 9th February 2020 in the north Indian city of Lakhnaú.

At the joint CZECH TRADE stand, RETIA will present innovations and proven products. First of all, it will be the first 3D radar developed and manufactured in the Czech Republic, which bears the name ReGUARD. RETIA introduced it for the first time to the professional public last year, and it will have its Indian premiere at DEFEXPO 2020. ReGUARD is designed primarily for the detection and simultaneous tracking of ground and slow low-flying targets with a small reflective surface. A unique feature of the new Czech radar is that it uses both electronic radar beam deflection and mechanical rotation of the radar head.

The small ReTWis 5 portable radar using ultra-wideband radar technology will also be of great interest to experts. ReTWis 5 is the latest evolution of this system, which can detect and track live people as well as animals behind walls or other non-metallic obstacles. Specialists from RETIA have been involved in its development for several years. The specific capabilities of the ReTWis 5 radar can be used primarily by various defence and security forces or government and private institutions.

The ReDat recording system will also be a proven and successful product that visitors of DEFEXPO 2020 can see at the RETIA stand. Recording ReDat system enables short and long-term archiving of recorded voice communication, air traffic controllers screens, synchronous simultaneous playback of audio, video and radar data, transcription and live listening. ReDat is widely used in India and used to record and manage records at many airports. However, its capabilities have also convinced customers in many other countries, so it has the potential to reach out to other interested people in the region.

RETIA will also demonstrate its capabilities in the field of radar system modernization. Specifically, the modernization projects of the P-18 and SURN radar systems of Soviet origin, which are still widely distributed in Central and East Asia. In the case of the P-18 surveillance and search radar, RETIA has dozens of modernized systems for a number of customers, including the Czech Army. RETIA has rich experience also with modernization of the SURN radar of the anti-aircraft missile 2K12 Kub system. Significantly improved SURN systems were delivered by RETIA to the Czech army and several other armed forces, for example to the United States.

DEFEXPO is held every two years and is one of the biggest events in the field of military, security and aerospace technologies in India. It is organized by the Indian government organization Defense Exhibition Organization. Its importance is underlined by the fact that only in 2018 it was attended by over 700 exhibitors, of which almost a third were foreign companies.
