Lubor Koudelka, Deputy Minister of Defense for the Management of the Armaments and Acquisitions Section, signed two contracts for the acquisition of new equipment: 16 trucks for the 25th Air Defence Missile Regiment, and modern backpacks for the Army of the Czech Republic.

The Army will be strengthened by new vehicles and equipment. Deputy Minister of Defense for the Management of the Armaments and Acquisitions Section, Lubor Koudelka, signed two contracts concerning the supply of relevant equipment or gear for the Czech Army.

The first contract concerns 16 TATRA type 815 flatbed trucks with a purpose-built platform installation and was concluded with the Military Technical Institute (VTÚ). The purchase of flatbed vehicles will ensure the mobility of units armed with the RBS-70NG anti-aircraft system. The price of the vehicles will not exceed CZK 271.4 million with VAT and deliveries will be completed during 2022.

The second contract, concluded with HUSKY CZ s.r.o., promises to supply the Army with two types of backpacks. It is a framework agreement with performance until October 2024 in the maximum financial volume of 273.8 million crowns with VAT. These are two types of backpacks with volumes of 75 and 40 liters, which are designed to equip soldiers in combat activities and training. The last similar equipment was acquired more than 10 years ago.

HUSKY won the announced competition with a price of CZK 4,087 for a large and CZK 2,416 for a small backpack. The backpacks are adapted to the military needs. Their outer sides and the inner part of the chambers are provided with a system of straps forming a support system. Both types will include a pocket for a water bag, both types will also allow the antenna to be led out and the communication system of the radio stations to be connected. The large silencer is designed so that it is possible to insert a small silencer with its contents.
